Asiye’s Chicken
Asiye, who has two children aged 8 and 12, lost her husband many years ago. As Time of Goodness, we gave her 20 chickens as a gift and thanks to these chickens, her life has completely changed.
Asiye collects 6–10 eggs per day from these chickens. Some of the eggs are consumed by the family, while the remainder are sold at the market. She spends her earnings on groceries and stationery for her children. She even installed a small solar panel in her home with the money she earned. They no longer have to live in the dark at night, and the children can study in comfort.
“My biggest dream was to buy my son the bicycle he had wanted for so long. Thanks to the chickens, I was able to buy him a blue bike.”
A Real Struggle
Chickens have provided Asiye and her children with more than just a source of income; they have also given them hope and confidence. She is less concerned about the budget and can meet her children's needs and wishes. This improvement in living conditions is an excellent example of how small projects can lead to large-scale transformations.
Every year, Time of Goodness implements projects that bring joy to orphan families across dozens of countries. These projects can include a sewing machine, a cow whose milk they can use, or a boat that will make their job easier. Thanks to these projects, the lives of orphans and their families change, and orphans who start to stand on their own feet continue their lives as healthy individuals.
As Time of Goodness, our aim is to support the material and spiritual development of families and to be instrumental in long-term change. With your support, we continue to offer hope and a bright future to families in need.
