A New Chapter for Jamila

Jamila’s life has been a story of resilience. Six years ago, she lost her husband, leaving her to raise six children on her own. With no place to call home, she rented a single room where the family lived without a kitchen or private bathroom. To make ends meet, Jamila sold vegetables at a small stall outside her home—a meager income for such a large family.

Her circumstances took a turn when we helped Jamila open her very own grocery shop. This small store has become a lifeline, giving her the means to support her family and envision a brighter future.

“For the first time, I can dream of a kitchen where I’ll cook meals for my children,” she says. “And with this shop, I’ll be able to give them a home where they each have their own room.”
